IPL auction In Mid-December, with December 16 being the most probable date for the event. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced this plan.
During recent casual chats, the BCCI and IPL officials have provided the teams with an idea of the provisional timetable, which has prompted the franchisees to talk about it among themselves.
IPL auction In Mid-December
It should come as no surprise that there will be a miniature auction, although the location has not been decided upon yet. The dates for the league have not yet been determined. But it is anticipated that it will begin around the fourth week of March, and the home-and-away structure will be reinstated.
Salary Purse For the Auction Set to be INR 95 Crore
This year’s salary purse for the auction will be INR 95 crore, which is 5 crores higher than the previous year. Because of this increase, each club will begin with at least INR 5 crore in reserves. The purse has the potential to become even larger if a team deals away its players or lets some of them go.
Since the beginning of the Indian Premier League 2022, when the management of the Chennai Super Kings allegedly had a dispute with Ravindra Jadeja, there has been rampant talk that the great all-rounder would either be moved to another club or discharged.
Recent sources also highlighted the possibility of a deal involving Jadeja and Shubman Gill involving CSK and Gujarat Titans. Both companies have given unequivocal denials to the trade-off rumors.
However, a few other clubs, including the Delhi Capitals, have inquired about the possibility of trading for Jadeja. One of these teams is the Mumbai Indians. However, the administration of CSK has confirmed that they have no intention of parting ways with the all-rounder, who is widely considered to be among the absolute best in the world.
We have it that the Gujarat Titans have been offered Rahul Tewatia and R. Sai Kishore in a deal, but the IPL winners have turned down the offers.
Jadeja is not the only player the Titans have been asked about trading. The transfer and trade window will stay open until seven days before the auction, after which it will close again until the following week.

Ganguly discusses the structure of a typical IPL match
In the meanwhile, Sourav Ganguly has informed the state associations in a letter that the Indian Premier League 2023 would return to the traditional home-and-away format. He also mentioned the possibility of a women’s IPL.
In a letter to the state units, the president of the BCCI said that the upcoming season of the men’s Indian Premier League would likewise return to the home-and-away format, with all 10 clubs playing their home matches at the grounds that have been selected for them.
The last three editions of the Indian Premier League have been confined to a smaller number of venues: the 2022 tournament took place in Mumbai and Pune in 2021. The tournament began in a select number of Indian venues before moving to the United Arab Emirates.
Finishing Off This Discussion
In 2020, the IPL was played entirely in the UAE. Regarding the women’s Indian Premier League, Ganguly said: “The long-awaited Women’s Indian Premier League is now being developed by the BCCI.
The inaugural season ought to get underway somewhere in the early part of the year after next. When the time comes, we will provide more explanation on this matter.”
The topic will be discussed at the next AGM of the BCCI, which will take place in one month. Following the receipt of authorization from the general body, preparations will be made to launch the league.
